Todd Gurley completes 50-yard pass in Georgia win over Vandy

Georgia running back Todd Gurley did a little bit of everything Saturday in the Bulldogs' 44-17 win over Vanderbilt, but his performance as a rusher probably would have been more than enough for a victory.

The Heisman Trophy hopeful and early-entry candidate for the 2015 NFL Draft rushed for 163 yards on 25 carries and a couple of touchdowns. That's a fairly normal day at the office for the 230-pound power back. A 50-yard pass? That's anything but normal for Gurley, but he made the completion to freshman tight end Jeb Blazevich.

It's not exactly a pretty throw, but for one of the top overall players in the college game, we'll give him a pass for the elongated throwing motion and Blazevich having to slow a bit for a slightly underthrown ball.

Nevertheless, add in 24 receiving yards and Gurley piled up 237 all-purpose yards against the Commodores. Gurley now has 773 rushing yards this season and averages 8.2 per carry, with eight touchdowns.

Most importantly, Gurley remains healthy going into October, something he was unable to do last season, thanks to an ankle injury. Gurley and the Bulldogs play at Missouri next week.
