Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Richard Sherman could miss a couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury suffered in Thursday night's 28-22 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The veteran corner is undergoing an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the injury, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Good Morning Football.
Per Rapoport, the initial diagnosis doesn't sound like Sherman suffered a significant injury that would knock him out for the rest of the season.
"Sounds like he'll be out a couple weeks," Rapoport said.
Sherman limped to the locker room in the first quarter of Thursday's game and was immediately ruled out. The swift nature in which the team announced he'd miss the rest of the game suggested the injury could be severe.
The cornerback was signed just over two weeks ago and was playing in his third game in 11 days. With that sort of action, given his short ramp-up period, a soft-tissue injury shouldn't come as that big of a surprise -- there is a reason the NFLPA has fought for longer ramp-up time during training camps.
The question is whether the hamstring of a 33-year-old corner will nag and linger the rest of the year, even if he misses only a few games.

Among the Browns questionable to play are Jadeveon Clowney (elbow, knee), Jack Conklin (knee), Myles Garrett (knee, ankle), Kareem Hunt (wrist, knee), Greg Newsome II (calf), JC Tretter (knee), Denzel Ward (neck) and Jedrick Wills (ankle).
- Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Myles Jack (back) and offensive lineman Rashaad Coward (ankle) have been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Jaguars. Cornerback Tyson Campbell (toe) and defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris (ankle) are questionable.
- Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday that cornerback Trevon Diggs (ankle) and left tackle Tyron Smith (neck) will be "ready to go" against New England. Diggs has not practiced this week, while Smith was limited on Thursday. Diggs, Smith, Ezekiel Elliott (ribs) and Randy Gregory (knee) are questionable.
- Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard (shoulder/groin) and receiver DeVante Parker (shoulder/hamstring) were ruled out against the Jaguars. Four Fins are questionable: QB Jacoby Brissett (hamstring), CB Byron Jones, TE Adam Shaheen (knee) and WR Preston Williams (groin).
- The Detroit Lions placed cornerback Corey Ballentine on reserve/injured. Running back D'Andre Swift (groin) and Jamaal Williams (hip/illness), tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) and pass rusher Trey Flowers (knee) are questionable to play against Cincinnati.
- Washington Football Team offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi (ankle), guard Brandon Scherff (knee) and wide receivers Curtis Samuel (groin) and Cam Sims (hamstring) have been ruled out for Sunday versus the Chiefs. Running back Antonio Gibson (shin) and wide receivers Terry McLaurin (hamstring) and Dyami Brown (knee) are questionable.
- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) will not play Sunday versus the Chargers.
- The Indianapolis Colts have ruled out kicker Rodrigo Blankenship (right hip), safety Andrew Sendejo (concussion), tackle Braden Smith (foot/thumb), defensive end Kemoko Turay (groin) and running back Jordan Wilkins (non-football illness) against the Texans.
- Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) was ruled out against Minnesota.
- Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack (foot), receiver Allen Robinson (ankle) and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (groin) are among 10 Bears questionable to play against Green Bay. Tight end J.P. Holtz (quad) and linebacker Caleb Johnson (knee) have been ruled out.
- Green Bay Packers guard Elgton Jenkins (ankle) is questionable, while tackle Dennis Kelly (back) is doubtful to play against Chicago. Cornerback Kevin King (shoulder) won't play. Green Bay placed receiver Malik Taylor on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
- Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (ankle) is among three players questionable to play Detroit. The Bengals removed guard Jackson Carman from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
- Kansas City Chiefs guard Joe Thuney and receiver Tyreek Hill are questionable to play against Washington. Defensive Chris Jones is out.
- Los Angeles Chargers receiver Mike Williams (knee) is questionable to play against Baltimore.
- The Seattle Seahawks ruled out running back Chris Carson (neck) and quarterback Russell Wilson (finger) against Pittsburgh. The team later placed both players on injured reserve.
- New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) won't play against the Rams. Receivers Darius Slayton (hamstring) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) and offensive linemanAndrew Thomas (foot) are questionable.
- Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon (hip) and safety Kareem Jackson (back) are questionable to play against Las Vegas.
- Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins (hip) is doubtful and defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson is questionable to play against Denver.

Contract restructures
- The Chicago Bears restructured the contract of pass rusher Robert Quinn to create $3,512,500 in cap room, a source tells Rapoport. The Bears previously had only $800K of room and needed more to operate, Rapoport added. Chicago now has moved $30.93M into future caps.
