NFL Week 7 fantasy flex rankings: Top 150 RB/WR/TE lineup options

Pondering some tough flex choices for your Week 7 fantasy football lineup? Adam Rank sorts through the running backs, receivers and tight ends to present his top 150 flex options, with some useful nuggets of analysis sprinkled in. The ranking is based on a 0.5 PPR scoring format.

  • (Q) -- Player is listed as questionable on his team's official injury report.
  • (D) -- Player is listed as doubtful on his team's official injury report.
  • (O) -- Player has been ruled out on his team's official injury report.

Takeaways:

  • I’m not including Puka Nacua here, given the uncertainty about his status for this week’s game against the Jaguars in London. He would be a top-five wide receiver for me if he’s able to play through the ankle sprain he suffered on Sunday.
  • Rico Dowdle had a revenge game. He told the Cowboys to buckle up (great merchandising opportunity, as my colleague Patrick Claybon pointed out) and went out there and set the NFL record for the most scrimmage yards by a player in a game against his former team. How long can he maintain this torrid pace? I’m now torn between competing thoughts. We could ride with Dowdle for as long as we can. The other option would be to flip him right now and get the biggest possible return in a trade. I’m going to ride it out, but I realize that decision could look foolish in about four weeks.
  • Josh Jacobs was nearly as good as Dowdle on Sunday. Jacobs is the third player since 1970 to rush for 80-plus yards, score two or more rushing TDs and post 50-plus receiving yards in consecutive games, per NFL Research (joining LaDainian Tomlinson and Priest Holmes).
  • George Pickens posted nearly 32 fantasy points on Sunday. He jumped over a dude. And he had a career-high nine receptions. I know a lot of you will wonder what it all looks like when CeeDee Lamb returns from injury (he might be back this week). I’m excited to see what both guys can do when they are on the field together. Think of it as something like what we saw from Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins last season.
  • Speaking of the Bengals duo, I really loved what Joe Flacco did in the second half against the Packers. I realize Chase has thrived in garbage time in the past two weeks. But does it matter? Points are points. I trust him to be in the mix every week. Higgins has me a little more concerned right now. He’s a No. 2 receiver, but we gave him grace because the Bengals had Joe Burrow at quarterback. We really can’t count on the same consistency with Flacco under center. That said, we might not have much of a choice because of all the injuries that have started to pile up around the league, especially at wide receiver. Higgins has fewer than 65 receiving yards in each game this season.
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba is turning into Justin Jefferson. JSN had eight receptions for 162 receiving yards and a touchdown on 13 targets against the Jaguars. He has 80-plus scrimmage yards in each of the first six games of 2025. Since 2000, only two wide receivers have had a longer such streak to begin a season (Antonio Brown, first nine games of 2014; Adam Thielen, first eight games of 2018).
  • De’Von Achane was tremendous once again against the Chargers. He had a season-high 150 scrimmage yards to go with two touchdowns. I remember not loving my roster when I drafted him. But he’s been saving me.
  • Stock is rising for Ladd McConkey. Justin Herbert was leaning on Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston (who missed Sunday's game with a hamstring injury) in the early part of the season. But if you held on long enough, you were rewarded with McConkey’s best game of the season. He finished with 23 fantasy points against the Dolphins and looked amazing.

98. Hollywood Brown, Chiefs (vs. Raiders) | WR47
99. Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs (vs. Raiders) | RB36
100. Jalen Nailor, Vikings (vs. Eagles) | WR48

Takeaways:

  • Kenneth Walker III is a very frustrating player for fantasy managers. He finished with a season-low 4.7 fantasy points against the Jaguars. The most troubling part of it is Zach Charbonnet and Sam Darnold combined for 10 red-zone rushes, while Walker had just two. It’s going to be a rough go for Walker if he’s not going to get many chances near the goal line.
  • I like Tez Johnson for the Buccaneers. But Sterling Shepard is second among Tampa Bay wide receivers in receptions, receiving yards and routes this season, right behind Emeka Egbuka, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.
  • Kimani Vidal looks like the running back to roster for the Chargers. There was a lot of confusion for most of last week, trying to figure out if it was going to be our guy Kimani or Hassan Haskins who saw the bulk of the workload in place of the injured Omarion Hampton. Kimani won. That’s our dude. And I want the Chargers to stop any talk about looking for other running backs. You’re good.
  • Drake Maye has been amazing this year. We are starting to see production from his receivers, too. Stefon Diggs went off in his revenge game against the Bills. Kayshon Boutte was the man on Sunday against the Saints. And he was able to do it in front of his friends and family in New Orleans. The Patriots are in first place in the AFC East, by the way.
  • I know Jauan Jennings is playing through injuries, but he has been a fantasy disappointment. He’s topped just seven points in only one of four games this season. The 49ers receiver you want is Kendrick Bourne, who has posted back-to-back great games. In fact, I kept noticing the 49ers (Mac Jones, to be specific) really struggled when targeting Jennings against the Buccaneers. Meanwhile, Bourne has the fourth-most fantasy points among wide receivers in the last two weeks.
  • Harold Fannin Jr. has the most targets and receptions of any Browns tight end this season. He also has the most receptions (28) by a Browns player through the first six games of his career since 1970.

149. Pat Freiermuth, Steelers (at Bengals | TNF) | TE29
150. Isaac TeSlaa, Lions (vs. Buccaneers | MNF) | WR72

Takeaways:

  • Luther Burden III is somebody you might want to stash. Get your waiver claims in and keep an eye on the status of DJ Moore, who is dealing with a groin injury. But dang, Burden looks like such a playmaker. Tetairoa McMillan scored two touchdowns on Sunday. But Burden looked like the second-best rookie receiver of the weekend. No, I’m not ignoring Matthew Golden. He was good, too.
