NEVER SAY NEVER MOMENT NOMINEES

Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys save season: The showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, each entering Sunday at 3-5, was dubbed an elimination game. The Cowboys' 38-23 win was fueled by a two-touchdown performance from QB Tony Romo and timely turnovers turned into scores by the defense, as the Cowboys emerge from Week 10 with hope for the season's stretch run. Dallas plays five of its next six games at home.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

Saints deal Falcons first loss: The New Orleans Saints put a halt to the Atlanta Falcons' run at perfection with a dramatic goal-line stand late in the fourth quarter that helped clinch a 31-27 win. QB Drew Brees threw three touchdown passes, including two to TE Jimmy Graham, to fuel the Saints' surprising march back into the NFC's wild-card race. After an 0-4 start, the Saints have won four of five games and are in position to become just the second team to start 0-4 yet qualify for the playoffs.

Danny Amendola, St. Louis Rams

Amendola has dramatic return: Wide receiver Danny Amendola returned to the field and helped the St. Louis Rams nearly shock the San Francisco 49ers in a bizarre game. Amendola was expected to miss eight weeks with a separated AC joint, instead, he missed three games and was back in action for the Rams' showdown with the division-leading 49ers. In his return he caught 11 passes for 102 yards against a defensive unit currently ranked No. 2 in the league. Unfortunately for Amendola, an 80-yard pass play on the first play in overtime was wiped out by a penalty and the Rams ultimately settled for the NFL's first tie since 2008
