Here are the injuries and news we're monitoring around the league on this Week 16 Sunday:
- Arizona Cardinals rookie defensive lineman Walter Nolen was carted off the field after suffering a knee injury and was quickly ruled out against Atlanta. Linebacker Josh Sweat (ankle) and cornerback Garrett Williams (Achilles) also were ruled out. Center Hjalte Froholdt (elbow) is questionable to return.
- Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Malik Heath returned to Atlanta to deal with a personal matter and will miss Sunday's game against Arizona.
- Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was cleared to return after undergoing X-rays on his foot during halftime against Cleveland. Linebacker Shaq Thompson (neck) did not return.
- Cincinnati Bengals tight end Cam Grandy (collarbone) was ruled out against Miami.
- Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins (leg) was ruled out against Buffalo. Judkins was carted off the field with his right leg immobilized in an air cast in the second quarter. HC Kevin Stefanski told reporters after the game that Judkins dislocated his ankle and suffered a fractured fibula.
- Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (concussion) was ruled out against the Los Angeles Chargers. Wide receiver Ryan Flournoy (knee) also was ruled out. Safety Donovan Wilson (eye) did not return.
- Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is in the league's concussion protocol after sustaining a helmet-to-helmet during Saturday's loss to the Bears, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters on Sunday. LaFleur added that it sounded like Love is doing better.
- Houston Texans linebacker Jake Hanson (chest) was ruled out against Las Vegas.
- Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Patrick Mekari (back) was ruled out against Denver.
- Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Gardner Minshew (knee) was ruled out against Tennessee. Rapoport reported that the belief is that Minshew suffered a torn ACL. The veteran signal-caller were undergo an MRI to confirm the severity of his knee injury.
- Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle JJ Pegues (hand) is questionable to return against Houston.
- Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Jamaree Salyer (hamstring) and cornerback Donte Jackson (groin) were ruled out against Dallas. Running back Kimani Vidal (neck) and cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (shoulder) did not return
- Miami Dolphins wide receiver D'Wayne Eskridge (toe) did not return against Cincinnati.
- Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (right hand), running back Jordan Mason (ankle) and center Ryan Kelly (concussion) were ruled out against the New York Giants.
- New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Bryan Bresee (knee) did not return against the New York Jets.
- New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas (hamstring) was ruled out against Minnesota. Center John Michael Schmitz (hand) is questionable to return.
- New York Jets defensive lineman Jay Tufele (foot) did not return against New Orleans.
- Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Brandin Echols (groin) was ruled out against Detroit.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Anthony Nelson (knee) was ruled out against Carolina.
- Tennessee Titans cornerback Marcus Harris (knee) was ruled out against Kansas City.
