NFL.com voters select Matt Schaub and Doug Martin as Week 11 FedEx Air & Ground® NFL Players of the Week

Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans and running back Doug Martin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on November 15-19.


Schaub threw for 527 yards and five touchdowns, completing 43 of 55 passes in the Texans' 43-37 overtime win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.


Martin gained 138 yards on 24 carries in the Buccaneers' 27-21 overtime win against the Carolina Panthers.


Schaub and Martin were selected from among six finalists in Air and Ground categories. The other FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week finalists were quarterbacks Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and Robert Griffin III of the Washington Redskins, and running backs Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis of the Cincinnati Bengals and LaRod Stephens-Howling of the Arizona Cardinals.


Fans voted for more than their favorite players. The weekly FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards are also a win for local communities. Along with the player awards, FedEx is making a $2,000 donation in each of the winning players' names to the local area offices of Junior Achievement in Houston and Tampa Bay. The funding is used to help U.S. small business development, by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.


During the week leading up to Super Bowl XLVII, FedEx plans to announce the 2012 FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year in New Orleans, as well as make a $25,000 donation in each winning player's name to Junior Achievement offices in the their city.

FEDEX AIR -- QUARTERBACK NOMINEES

Tom Brady, New England Patriots

Brady completed 24 of 35 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns as the Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts 59-24.

Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins

RG3 completed 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns, finishing his day with a 158.3 passer rating in the Redskins' 31-6 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Cincinnati Bengals

Green-Ellis rushed for 101 yards on 25 carries and one touchdown as the Bengals beat the Kansas City Chiefs 28-6.

LaRod Stephens-Howling, Arizona Cardinals

Stephens-Howling picked up 127 yards on 22 carries and one score in the Cardinals' 23-19 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Martin gained 138 yards on 24 carries in the Buccaneers' 27-21 overtime win against the Carolina Panthers.
