Tony Romo fires back at critics in new ad campaign

Tony Romo receives high levels of unjust criticism, but this time around, he has heaped the pressure on himself.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback has teamed with Starter on a print and digital ad campaign that aims a hot light on the steel vice tightening around this year's team.

Breer: Disappointment in Big D
Jerry Jones tells Albert Breer last season was "the most disappointing year" of his entire Cowboys tenure. More ...

The "Romo Responds" campaign (in theory) lifts the veil on Tony's inner world, as he wrestles with his legacy and sticky persona as a statistically solid passer who can't win the big one.

"People focus on what we haven't accomplished," Romo says, doing his best Bruce Wayne. "They focus on mistakes, the near misses, the heartbreaks. People say we haven't succeeded. People say we haven't won a championship. People critique our lives ..."

Romo assures us, during a slightly troubling montage starring a medicine ball: "People are focused on what we haven't done. That's what I'm focused on, too."

Amid the clamor, we're almost certain we caught audio of a window slamming, but you tell us.
