2024 NFL schedule release: Cowboys to play at Browns in Week 1 in Tom Brady's broadcasting debut

Tom Brady will make his FOX regular-season broadcasting debut with an intriguing Week 1 matchup of two 2023 playoff teams.

FOX Sports revealed Monday that Brady is set to call a Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns at Cleveland Browns Stadium on the opening Sunday of the season.

Brady signed a monster deal with FOX for 10 years and $375 million back in May 2022 prior to retiring from playing. He announced last year that he expected to start his FOX announcing gig this fall, and everything appears full steam ahead with that plan.

FOX Sports announced that Week 1 will be back to an exclusive doubleheader window. It's the first time FOX will feature a Cowboys game in a prime Week 1 Sunday slot in five years. The Browns later confirmed their involvement in the game on social media.

Fresh off his X-rated roast last weekend, a more buttoned-up version of Brady helped promote his first big assignment for the network at FOX's 2024 Upfront event at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday alongside new coworker Michael Strahan.

"Amazing," Brady said of calling a Dallas game. "Obviously, having the Cowboys on is a big draw as America's Team.

"... I've obviously been going against them for a long time now. Now I get to tell everyone how great they are."

Coincidentally, Brady's teams went 7-1 against both the Cowboys and Browns in his career, including playoffs, and he never lost to the Cowboys in the regular season.

The full 2024 NFL Schedule release is set for Wednesday, May 15 at 8 p.m ET on NFL Network and NFL+.
