Report: Robert Turbin recovering from hip surgery

The members of Seattle's star-studded secondary were not the only Seahawks to go under the knife following their Super Bowl XLIX loss to the Patriots.

Running back Robert Turbinunderwent offseason hip surgery, reports Ross Jones of FOX Sports.

Turbin's rehab is not expected to impact his preparation for the 2015 season, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.

Although the Seahawks have showed offseason praise on Christine Michael in recent years, the talented but enigmatic runner has been unable to bypass Turbin as Marshawn Lynch's caddy and passing-down specialist.

Turbin, 25, is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

If he misses the entirety of offseason practices, it will be interesting to see if Michael finally makes inroads toward landing a steady role in Darrell Bevell's offense.
