Panthers' Kalil, Shaq Thompson doubtful for 'MNF'

Cam Newton is likely to be missing his Pro Bowl center Monday night when the Carolina Panthers take on the Indianapolis Colts.

Ryan Kalil is officially listed as doubtful for the 'MNF' matchup with an ankle injury. Coach Ron Rivera said Kalil would be a game-time decision. The doubtful designation indicates it would be a surprise if the center is able to play Monday.

Fernando Velasco, who has appeared in two games this season, will start in Kalil's stead if the veteran is unable to play. Starting right tackle Mike Remmers could also play center.

Rookie linebacker Shaq Thompson (knee) is also listed as doubtful. The Panthers' first round pick missed last week's contest due to the injury.

The Panthers ruled out defensive end Mario Addison (shoulder) and Dwan Edwards (ankle). Linebacker Thomas Davis (Not Injury Related), fullback Mike Tolbert (NIR) and tackle Daryl Williams (knee) are all probable to play.

For the Colts safeties Mike Adams (hamstring) and Clayton Geathers (knee) were listed as probable. Receiver Phillip Dorsett (ankle), center Khaled Holmes (neck) and linebacker Nate Irving (knee) are out. Safety Winston Guy (shoulder) is doubtful to play.
