Greg Jennings visits the Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are looking to rebuild their receiving corps on the fly, which is why they hosted veteran Greg Jennings on Tuesday.

Per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, the 31-year-old former Packer and Viking heard a pitch from Dolphins coach Joe Philbin and executive vice president Mike Tannenbaum, marking his second visit (Carolina Panthers) of the offseason.

Miami was reportedly far away from Michael Crabtree when it came to dollars and cents, and in the short-term, Jennings might look like a far more affordable option.

After getting rid of Mike Wallace and acquiring Kenny Stills, Philbin is doing his best to put some capable pieces around Ryan Tannehill in what is looking like a make-or-break season for the fourth-year head coach.

Jennings, despite a drop in production over the past two seasons, might be the perfect fit in the right offense.
