Doug Free likely to miss 3 to 4 weeks, per Jerry Jones

The Dallas Cowboys will be without injured right tackle Doug Free for likely three to four weeks, according to owner Jerry Jones.

Jones, speaking with KRLD-FM in Dallas on Tuesday, told the radio station that there is a "fracture" in Free's injured foot. Despite the fact that Free says he wants to play against the Giantson Sunday, it looks like his streak of 77 consecutive games played is in serious jeopardy.

At this point, allowing Free to heal should be a priority. The Cowboys' offensive line and revamped defense have fueled their 5-1 start and kept DeMarco Murray happy. In the meantime, Jermey Parnell will need to step up and continue some strong play up front.
