Derrick Henry aiming for 2K rushing yards, Adam Sandler movie role

Derrick Henry came up 79 rushing yards shy of another 2,000-yard campaign, finishing with 1,921 in 2024 -- his first season with the Baltimore Ravens.

The bulldozing back has even more incentive to reach the 2,000-yard plateau in 2025.

During a recent visit with The Dan Patrick Show, Henry revealed that Adam Sandler was his favorite actor. Patrick, a friend of the thespian, said that if Henry gets 2,000 yards this year, he'd get him in a Sandler film.

"Cool, say no more. Remember that now," Henry responded. "Say no more. The bet is on. No pressure at all."

If Henry were to blast past the 2,000-yard mark in 2025, he'd make history as the first player ever to reach 2K twice in his career. Nine players in NFL history, including Saquon Barkley in 2024, have had 2,000 yards in a season.

We know the back can gash defenses in the Ravens offense, but staying healthy again will be key. Henry galloped his way to 2,027 yards in 2020. In the following campaign, he dealt with significant injuries for the first time in his career, playing in a career-low eight games and rushing for 937 yards.

In his first season in Baltimore, Henry took 325 carries, the second-most in the NFL in 2024, behind only Barkley's 345, and the third-most totes in a year in his career.
