Broncos sign Henry Melton to one-year deal

Defensive lineman Henry Melton is the newest member of the Denver Broncos.

The 29-year-old Pro Bowler, who appeared in 16 games (one start) and logged two sacks for the Buccaneers a year ago, will head to Colorado as a key piece of rotational depth now that Vance Walker is officially on injured reserve.

According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, the deal is for one year. Melton posted the obligatory contract-signing photo in Instagram on Sunday.

The news comes on the heels of more positive vibes for Denver's defense. Head coach Gary Kubiak said on Saturday that All-Pro pass rusher DeMarcus Ware was on his way back to practice. Derek Wolfe also seems to be ok after what appeared to be a potentially serious ankle issue.

Melton posted 22.5 sacks over his previous six NFL seasons.
