Andrew Luck questionable; Pagano confident he'll play

Although the Indianapolis Colts signed Josh Johnsonas quarterback insurance on Friday, coach Chuck Pagano is unwavering in his belief that Andrew Luck will play through a shoulder injury.

Asked if he remains "supremely confident" that Luck will start versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Pagano replied, "Absolutely."

Pagano revealed that Luck is officially "questionable" for Week 4 after a limited practice on Friday. That 50-50 designation doesn't quite jibe with Pagano's outward confidence, which he has measured in superlatives.

Pagano went on to poke fun at reporters for their hand-wringing over Luck's status.

"I hope you guys sleep well at night," Pagano quipped. "Like a bunch of scared birds in here."

One reporter even asked if Luck was still in Indiana, as of Friday afternoon.

"That might be the craziest question that I've gotten in the history of football," Pagano replied.

Until Luck is deemed active Sunday morning, the state of Indiana will remain on high alert.
