Niners RB Christian McCaffrey (back) good to go vs. Seahawks; George Kittle, Trent Williams questionable

It wouldn’t be a game week for the San Francisco 49ers without some injury concerns.

Ahead of Saturday’s massive matchup against the Seattle Seahawks for the NFC West title, the NFC’s No. 1 seed and a first-round bye, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey was a full participant Thursday and has no injury designation. However, tight end George Kittle (ankle), offensive tackle Trent Williams (hamstring) and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle) are each questionable to play.

McCaffrey tweaked his back during Sunday night’s Week 17 win over the Chicago Bears.

Williams also injured his hamstring in the game, playing just the first snap of the game. Williams’ status could be the most worrisome as he did not practice this week.

Kittle was absent from the Bears’ win after sustaining a low ankle sprain in Week 16. He’s been adamant this week that he’ll play. The seven-time Pro Bowler has 52 catches for 599 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 starts this season, having missed six games due to injury. Perhaps most importantly, the 49ers are 8-2 with him in the lineup this season. Kittle participated in all three of the team’s practices this week in a limited capacity.

Pearsall played Sunday, but has dealt with injuries all season, having missed seven games. He’s recorded 36 receptions for 528 yards and no touchdowns. Like Kittle, Pearsall’s been limited in each practice.

The 49ers (12-4) kick off against the visiting Seahawks (13-3) at 8 p.m. ET Saturday.
