INJURIES

  • WR DJ Chark (ankle) is expected to take part in individual drills for the first time this year on Friday at organized team activities, head coach Frank Reich said.
  • TE Hayden Hurst (hernia surgery) is expected to take part in individual drills for the first time this year on Friday at OTAs, per Reich.

RETIREMENT

  • TE Ben Ellefson, 26, announced his retirement on Thursday. Ellefson played the 2020 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars before playing for the Vikings in each of the last two years.

FRONT OFFICE MOVES

  • Ryan Cowden has been hired as an executive advisor to general manager Joe Schoen. Cowden spent the previous five years with the Titans as the vice president of player personnel.
  • Isaiah Wingfield has been hired as a scouting assistant.

RETIREMENTS

  • P Brett Kern announced his retirement from football after 15 seasons in the NFL. The 37-year-old spent his final year with the Eagles in 2022.

INJURIES

  • LB Jordyn Brooks (ACL injury) is expected to be at mandatory minicamp next week as he continues to rehab his injury, head coach Pete Carroll said Thursday. Carroll could not give a specific timetable for return but said Brooks is aiming to be ready for the start of the season.
  • CB Tariq Woolen had a cartilage issue in his knee during Phase 2 of Seahawks OTAs, head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Thursday. The injury required a minor knee scope but Woolen is expected to be ready for training camp, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on May 23. "Fortunately everything went great," Carroll said. "If you see him, he's getting around terrific already. Hopefully it's a four-to-six-week-type of deal. His attitude has been great."
  • S Jamal Adams is also expected to be at mandatory minicamp while rehabbing his quadriceps injury and is shooting to return for the start of the season, head coach Pete Carroll told reporters.

  • P Brett Kern, a three-time Pro Bowler, announced his retirement from football after 15 seasons in the NFL. Kern, who spent 13 years in Tennessee, finishes his career as the Titans' all-time leader in punts (923), yards (42,333) and average (45.9).
