NFL.com, NFL Network, NFL Films get 15 Emmy nominations

Mariucci receives first-ever nomination;

95 Emmys and counting for NFL Films;
NFL.com LIVE earns second consecutive nomination

NFL Network, NFL Films and NFL.com recorded 15 Sports Emmy Award nominations, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced. This total matches the record number of nominations the NFL received last year.

Steve Mariucci -- who clocks in for 16 hours from beginning-to-end each Sunday on NFL GameDay Morning and NFL GameDay Final -- earned his first ever Sports Emmy nomination, receiving recognition in the Outstanding Sports Personality-Studio Analyst category. Thursday Night Football analyst Cris Collinsworth, a nine-time Emmy winner, earned a nomination for Outstanding Sports Personality-Game Analyst. Collinsworth, who won the Sports Emmy in the category for his Thursday Night Football work two seasons ago, was also nominated in the Studio Analyst category.

NFL Network's critically acclaimed America's Game continued its run of success with its new series America's Game: The Missing Rings earning a nomination for Outstanding Edited Sports Series-Anthology. America's Game: The Super Bowl Champions won the Emmy in the category last year.

NFL Films, which has earned 95 Sports Emmys, garnered two nominations for Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Dallas Cowboys. NFL Films also earned one nomination apiece for Road to the Super Bowl, the longest-running (39 years, 1969 debut) and most honored (28 Sports Emmys) annual sports special, and Inside the NFL, which it produces with CBS/Showtime. NFL Films: Lost in Confetti earned recognition for the prestigious Dick Schaap Writing Award.

Nominations for NFL.com included recognition for the second consecutive year of NFL.com LIVE coverage of NFL Network's Thursday Night Football and its Anatomy of a Play, a short-form 360-degree analysis of key plays of the week. NFL.com also earned a nomination for NFL Ultimate Audio on NFL.com.

NFL Network and NFL.com also garnered their first two nominations in the new Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement category, earning recognition for the "2008 Fantasy Football Blues" and "2008 NFL Training Camp in Rhythm" creative.

The 30th Annual Sports Emmys Awards will be presented on Monday, April 27 in New York City at Rose Hall at Lincoln Center.
