Solomon WilcotsPosted: November 23, 2009 7:05 AMAfter sweeping both the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers for the first time in franchise history, the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday were looking for their first ever win in Oakland. They didn't get it.

Jamie DukesPosted: November 22, 2009 10:00 PMHere’s what stood out to me after Sunday's action.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 22, 2009 2:52 PMThe New Orleans Saints are hopeful the hamstring injury suffered by CB Randall Gay in Sunday's 38-7 win over the Bucs is not severe.
-
Steve WychePosted: November 22, 2009 8:38 AMRavens TE Todd Heap (chest) and DT Haloti Ngata (ankle) will start against the Colts.
-
NFL.com StaffPosted: November 21, 2009 12:40 PMJosh Cribbs will play for the Browns on Sunday, just six days after being taken off the field on a stretcher, according to his agent, J.R. Rickert.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 20, 2009 5:44 PMGiants starting MLB Antonio Pierce is out indefinitely, according to the team.
-
Solomon WilcotsPosted: November 20, 2009 2:24 PMWhile standing on the Panthers' sideline for the entire game Thursday night, I saw several things that suggested their game plan was geared more toward passing than running the ball.
-
Steve WychePosted: November 20, 2009 12:32 PMBrowns QB Brady Quinn was fined $10,000 for diving at the knees of Ravens LB Terrell Suggs and injuring him during Monday’s night’s 16-0 loss to Baltimore, a league source confirmed.
-
Steve WychePosted: November 20, 2009 12:24 PMRedskins DT Albert Haynesworth, though listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys with a sprained ankle, probably will not be healed in time to play, a league source said.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 20, 2009 10:34 AMSteelers safety Troy Polamalu will miss Sunday's game against the Chiefs, according to a league source, and a return by the crucial Week 12 meeting with the Ravens is remote at this point.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 20, 2009 9:19 AMColts WR Anthony Gonzalez will not play in Sunday's game against the Ravens as he recovers from a knee injury, according to a league source.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 19, 2009 7:03 PMHow about the Dolphins? Two inexcusable penalties from the offensive line in a row, and they come back and run for a key first down on third-and-16? Okay.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 19, 2009 6:27 PMNot much stretching of the field going on here. The Dolphins lack that element and thus far Jake Delhomme has overthrown Steve Smith on a few deep shots.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 19, 2009 5:44 PMThat is Carolina Panther power football. Opening drive is what they do best. Lot of power runs and a few intermediate passes.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 19, 2009 3:42 PMPanthers WR Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident on his way to Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte today.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 19, 2009 12:53 PMBengals RB Cedric Benson likely will not play Sunday against the Raiders after missing practice again with a hip injury, according to a league source.
-
Jason La CanforaPosted: November 19, 2009 11:41 AMThe 49ers' attempts to have a new stadium constructed in Santa Clara received a major boost Wednesday night when a planning commission recommended, 7-0, that the City Council certify the team's Environmental Impact Report. Should the City Council do that, which could happen as soon as next month, then the final step would be to hold a public vote on the issue, which could come next year, possibly in June.
