Vikings get more help, agree to deal with veteran linebacker Harris

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a contract with linebacker Napoleon Harris.

Harris is the second linebacker the Vikings added this week after signing Dontarrious Thomas on Monday.

Harris was at the team's Winter Park headquarters for a physical on Wednesday. His agent, Doug Hendrickson, confirmed the deal between Harris and the Vikings in an e-mail Thursday morning.

The Vikings haven't announced the signing.

The Chiefs cut Harris, who played two seasons (2005-06) with the Vikings, earlier this week. The seven-year veteran started 13 games for the Chiefs in 2007 but lost his starting spot this season.
