Free agent Rashard Robinson suspended for 10 games

Former 49ers and Jets cornerback Rashard Robinson has been suspended 10 games with a substance abuse violation after missing several tests, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

"I will work during my time away to better myself and be ready to contribute when I am eligible this coming season," Robinson said in a statement, via Rapoport.

Robinson, 23, played 10 games for the Jets in 2018 after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The Jets acquired him via trade with the 49ers in 2017, but cut the 2016 fourth-rounder on May 10.

Robinson has two career interceptions and 64 tackles in 38 games, but had just eight tackles in 2018. The former LSU Tiger is currently a free agent.
