Derek Carr: Warriors' win gives Raiders motivation

The Golden State Warriors brought the NBA Championship back to the Bay Area on Monday. Seeing the celebration added extra motivation for Oakland Raiders players to win a Lombardi Trophy.

"It makes you hungry every time you see another team celebrate a championship," quarterback Derek Carr said, via CSN Bay Area. "It makes you dream those dreams you had as a kid, of standing on the stage, holding trophies up. It was fun to watch and I'm happy for those guys. Hopefully they win a whole lot more."

With the Raiders set to move to Las Vegas down the road, the urgency to win a Super Bowl for Oakland has ramped up. It's the reason Marshawn Lynch unretired to play for his home town.

Added running back DeAndre Washington: "You see that and understand that Bay Area fans are the real deal. When the Raiders win, it's a different type of excitement. Congrats to the Warriors, and it definitely inspired us to bring one to the city."

The Raiders own a stacked offense behind Carr, Lynch, Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree and a stellar offensive line. If the defense improves upon last season, the Raiders should be considered one of the few AFC foes with a chance of dethroning the New England Patriots.
