Police probing after FSU players, employees find cars damaged

Florida State is still trying to deal with the aftermath of its 59-20 beatdown at the hands of Oregon in the Rose Bowl, and school employees and players returned home from the game to find a troubling surprise.

After returning to Tallahassee on Friday night, Seminoles freshman linebacker Anthony Valdes tweeted that he arrived at the the team's football complex to discover that his tires had been slashed and his car had been keyed.

There were two instances of vehicles with slashed tires reported to police, with both vehicles belonging to school employees, per the Tallahassee Democrat. FSUPD spokesman Maj. Jim Russell told the paper there were additional reports of players' cars being keyed, but they had not filed a police report as of Saturday morning.

"The officers investigating at the time could not determine a time frame of when the vehicles were damaged," Russell said in a statement. "So we don't know (if) the damage happened before or after the bowl game."

While it's possible the damage to the vehicles was part of a random act of violence, it's also hard not to think that the embarrassing loss to the Ducks had something to do with the pathetic outburst against the people responsible for the 29 straight wins FSU recorded before the Rose Bowl loss.
