Man hides in Nick Saban's bathroom before marriage proposal

Unique marriage proposals that require some innovation are common, but Drew Clayton took his elaborate plan to an entirely different level.

And, to Alabama coach Nick Saban's office.

Clayton used his fiancee's connections with the UA athletics department -- she had worked in the football office, according to al.com -- to help orchestrate the proposal to Kayla Posey, who accepted. The ruse sent Posey into Saban's empty office to shine his national championship rings because a very important guest would be visiting in short order. When Posey opened the box containing the rings, Clayton's engagement ring was inside.

And he then emerged -- of all places -- from Saban's private bathroom, where he had been hiding the entire time. Hidden camera video, set up by Posey's friends, captured the moment:

Clayton said he hid in Saban's bathroom for a half hour. Nothing if not bold, at one point he got hungry enough to snatch one of Saban's favorite snacks, Little Debbie oatmeal cream pies.

"I was kind of hungry, so I figured he wouldn't miss one," he said.
