DeMarco Murray, Miles Austin out for Cowboys' game

All the positive signs that Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray would play against the Detroit Lions in Week 8 proved to be false.

will re-air the Detroit Lions' 31-30 win over the Dallas Cowboys from Week 8 on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. ET.

NFL Media's Stacey Dales reported that Murray has been ruled out for Sunday's game with a knee injury, per a team source.

Miles Austin (hamstring) also will not play, per Dales. The team later confirmed both players' statuses.

The loss of Murray is huge for the Cowboys. Expect Joseph Randle to start. Randle doesn't possess Murray's ability to create creases, nor the same dynamic ability once at the second level.

Austin's absence is less of a loss. The emergence of rookie receiver Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley will mitigate Austin's absence.
