Russell Okung of Seattle Seahawks ran with the bulls

Rex Ryan wasn't the only prominent NFL figure to go running with the bulls in Pamplona last week.

In a decision that surely left Pete Carroll feeling warm inside, star Seattle Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung traveled to Spain with his agent to take part in the famous tradition.

Okung wasn't the victim of a stampede or gored in the liver, making him a big winner in the annual extravaganza.

"You hear this big shot go off and the bulls are on their way," Okung told ESPN.com's Mike Sando. "Before you know it, every plan you had, every strategy you had is out the window. You are running for your life."

"There was a thickness in the air and it was really electric," Okung went on. "There were people jumping around and singing and yelling. You hear this big shot go off and the bulls are on their way. ... It's almost a surreal feeling to get there."

Okung told Sando he'd also like to swim in Devil's Pool at Victoria Falls in Zambia. This is an activity where you can backstroke to the edge of a massive waterfall.

"I really want to get the most out of life," Okung said.

In general, we live by a life code to never go near anything with the word "Devil" in front of it. That includes roller coasters, unique bodies of water in Africa, and, of course, high-level rollerblade competition courses.
