Braylon Edwards: 'High probability' I'll play vs. Titans

A reunion that felt entirely improbable just a week ago has now become the latest chapter in a wacky season for the New York Jets. Braylon Edwards is back in the fold and expects to play this week against the Tennessee Titans.

"I definitely think I'll have a high probability of a chance of going on Monday night," Edwards, who spent the better part of 2009 and 2010 in Florham Park, told the New York Daily News on Thursday.

Edwards, 29, was a limited participant in Thursday's practice after being claimed off waivers Tuesday. He shrugged off the assessment of Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who released the wideout from injured reserve this week and labeled his hamstring injury as a three-week injury. "I don't think Pete has an M.D.," Edwards said.

The desperation level on offense led New York to ignore a scathing tweet last week from Braylon, who described the Jets' decision-makers as "idiots."

Harrison: Week 15 predictions

It's hard to imagine a more enticing slate of games than the Week 15 lineup. Elliot Harrison provides his pick in each contest. **More ...**

"I really thought that there was no way that the Jets were interested," Edwards said. "After the tweet, it was like, 'Yeah, I burned that bridge' "

"I didn't have to apologize, but I chose to," Edwards said. "It was a statement that was made at the heat of the moment."

Edwards now has a chance to make up for his social-media friskiness by helping under-fire quarterback Mark Sanchez, who appears thrilled to have his old deep threat back.

"I think he's still got it," Sanchez told the newspaper.
