Green Bay Packers receiver Greg Jennings had surgery for his rectus abdominal tear Thursday.
He was originally scheduled to have the surgery with Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia on Tuesday, but Superstorm Sandy pushed back the appointment.
Jennings tweeted the procedure went well.
The outpatient surgery is not season-ending, but last week Jennings would not give an approximate date for his return. It's believed to be a minimum of three weeks.
The Packers are down their top two receivers as Jordy Nelson (hamstring) missed practice again Thursday. He did not play last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
