Let's call Week 6 the first "Upset Weekend" of 2012. And I don't just say that because of my glowing 5-8 record thus far.
As an Around the League crew, we went into Monday night's game an awe-inspiring 29-36. Yes, I had to air their dirty laundry along with mine.

Back to the point. There were flat-out shockers with the Tennessee Titans (vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers) and Detroit Lions (vs. the Philadelpha Eagles). The Buffalo Bills beat the upstart Arizona Cardinals after allowing 97 points the two previous weeks. The Cleveland Browns were the last winless team in the NFL before they knocked off the Cincinnati Bengals. The Seattle Seahawks snuck past the New England Patriots and the No. 1 offense in the league. The Green Bay Packers were thought to be reeling before they went on the road and upset the previously undefeated Houston Texans. Even the New York Giants' 23-point win in San Francisco can, at least, be considered unexpected. The Lions and Packers probably saved their seasons.
This was the week that showed how quickly things can change and reminded us how competitive the league is on a weekly basis. Every AFC East team is 3-3. The NFC West has three teams (Cardinals, Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers) that are 4-2 with the St. Louis Rams at 3-3. There isn't a single second-place team in the AFC with a winning record. The NFC East and North both have just one team with a sub-.500 record.
