Tim Tebow's fake-punt run sparks Jets scoring drive

Mark Sanchez remains the New York Jets' choice at quarterback, but Tim Tebow got in the mix in his own way on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

With the Jets trailing 10-0 midway through the second quarter and facing a fourth-and-3 at their own 25, Tebow took a direct snap out of a punt formation and ran it five yards up the middle for the first down.

Tebow's run jumpstarted an offense that had been sleepwalking up to that point. Sanchez led the Jets down the field, but the offense was forced to settle for a 33-yard field goal by Nick Folk after Stephen Hill dropped a pass in the end zone.

Tebow -- who is regulary used as a punt protector -- has been on the field more in Tony Sparano's offense against the Dolphins. He played just three snaps in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
