Inside the 2012 Schedule

Things get tough in Week 6, when the Lions travel to Philly, then get a Monday night matchup against the rival Bears. They'll have to face the Packers in Week 11, then host the Texans four short days later in a Thanksgiving afternoon game. The Falcons in Week 16 and the Bears in Week 17 make for a tricky way to end the season.

3 Key Moments
Week 7 at Bears
The Lions were embarrassed 37-13 at Soldier Field last year, which was disconcerting after playing Chicago so strong at home earlier in the year. Matt Stafford threw four interceptions, and must play better on the road against a good defense if the Lions want to make noise in the NFC North.
Week 11 vs. Packers
Any hopes for a division title rest on beating Green Bay at least once. The Lions secondary couldn't stop Aaron Rodgers or Matt Flynn last year, giving up 72 points and 899 yards of offense in the two meetings, both losses. Had Green Bay not pumped the brakes on Thanksgiving, it could've been worse.
Week 16 vs. Falcons
The Falcons are sure to be a playoff contender, so a win here would give the Lions both the head-to-head tiebreaker and a better conference record. Detroit lost to Atlanta at Ford Field last season, which is why the Lions had to travel to New Orleans for the wild-card as the sixth seed.
