Taylor: Jets' Sanchez not as talented as Dolphins' Henne

Ladies and gentlemen, Jason Taylor has spoken (again).

Never afraid of ruffling feathers, the 37-year-old Dolphins defender took to the airwaves this week to publicly compare the last two quarterbacks he's played with.

"I think Chad (Henne) has grown immensely since I left here a year ago," Taylor told NBC Miami. "I saw a kid in New York -- Mark Sanchez -- that is young. I don't think he's as talented as Chad Henne."

After generating his share of Jets bulletin board material, Taylor -- who failed to make the same comparison during his 2010 stint in New York -- went to town on former Dolphins executive vice president Bill Parcells, who left the team last season:

"You know I'm very comfortable and confident in saying he's the reason why I left Miami (after the 2009 season)," Taylor said. "For whatever reason, Bill and I didn't see eye to eye or I don't even know if we had a chance to see eye to eye, because we never really communicated like that. It was just Bill didn't like me, didn't want me around or whatever."

The 37-year-old lineman, in his third run with the Dolphins, was annoyed last week when comments he made in a players-only meeting were leaked to reporters.

He's saved everyone a step this time around.

There's nothing wrong with sticking up for his quarterback, but if this was Taylor's attempt to provide some badly needed veteran presence to a winless Dolphins locker room, it's accomplished very little in that regard.
