Moss' daughter reportedly commits to play basketball at Florida

Sydney Moss, the daughter of NFL wide receiver Randy Moss, has given the University of Florida a verbal commitment to join their women's basketball team in 2012, the *St. Petersburg Times* reported Tuesday.

Sydney Moss, a junior at Boone County (Ky.) High School, is a 5-foot-11 power forward who also possesses point guard skills. She averaged 22.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game this past season. Several programs had recruited her heavily, including Louisville, Dayton, West Virginia, Xavier and Kansas.

Randy Moss, 34, finished a whirlwind 2010 season with the Tennessee Titans after the New England Patriots traded him to the Minnesota Vikings in October, and the Vikings released him after four games. His combined 28 receptions were the lowest total of his 13-year NFL career. After catching three touchdown passes in four games with the Patriots, he had just two more during his final 12 games.
