Seahawks' Ganther out of jail after arrest for suspicion of DUI

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Seattle Seahawks running back Quinton Ganther was released from Sacramento County Jail on Saturday following an early morning arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's inmate registry showed that Ganther, 25, was booked into jail at 6:50 a.m. Saturday and released hours later.

Ganther's bail had been listed as $1,482. The native of Oakland had a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday, according to The Seattle Times.

The Seahawks had no comment other than to say they were aware of the situation and gathering information.

Ganther signed with the Seahawks this winter as a free agent. He ran for 201 yards in eight games last season for the Washington Redskins after playing in 15 games over the previous two seasons for the Tennessee Titans.
