Rookie WR Baldwin inactive for Chiefs' opener vs. Bills

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- First-round draft pick Jonathan Baldwin was among the inactive players for the Chiefs' Sunday season opener against the Buffalo Bills.

Baldwin missed almost all of training camp after hurting his right thumb during a locker-room altercation with running back Thomas Jones. It's unknown when Baldwin will be able to play.

Quarterback Ricky Stanzi, the Chiefs' fifth-round draft pick, also was inactive Sunday. That left Tyler Palko to back up Matt Cassel, who played with banged-up ribs.

Wide receiver Marcus Easley was inactive for the Bills after coming down with an illness Friday. That left Roscoe Parrish and David Nelson to back up Steve Johnson and Donald Jones.

Bills nose tackle Torell Troup was out with a lower back injury.
