Rams cut DT Thomas, put WR Robinson on injured reserve

ST. LOUIS -- The Rams released defensive tackle Hollis Thomas on Wednesday and placed wide receiver Laurent Robinson on season-ending injured reserve, among a number of moves for the 0-3 team.

Wide receiver Nate Jones, defensive tackle Leger Douzable and linebacker Dominic Douglas were promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. Wide receiver Sean Walker, defensive tackle Marlon Favorite, linebacker Jay Moore and linebacker Justin Pollard were signed to the practice squad.

Thomas, 35, was a reserve in three games this season and had four tackles. Robinson, who leads the Rams with 13 receptions, suffered a high right ankle sprain with a fractured leg and will undergo surgery.

Douglas and Jones were among the Rams' final cuts before the season opener. Douzable was signed to the practice squad Sept. 17.
