Raiders unsure how long QB Frye will be out after surgery

Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable said Tuesday that he isn't sure how long the team will be without backup quarterback Charlie Frye, who will have surgery on his right wrist Wednesday, the *Contra Costa Times* reported.

Frye, who started three games for the Raiders during the 2009 season, hasn't practiced since sustaining the injury Aug. 5.

Fellow backup Bruce Gradkowski is practicing as he continues to recover from offseason pectoral surgery. The Raiders also have starter Jason Campbell, reserve Kyle Boller and newly signed Colt Brennan in camp.
