Raiders sign Kacyvenski, cut McNeal

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -The Oakland Raiders signed free-agent linebacker Isaiah Kacyvenski on Thursday.

Kacyvenski impressed the Raiders during a tryout in voluntary minicamp last month. He spent his first six NFL years in Seattle, helping the Seahawks reach the Super Bowl following the 2005 season, and was with St. Louis last season.

He has started 23 games, recording 271 total tackles, one quarterback sack, and three interceptions. He has three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

The Raiders cut defensive end Bryant McNeal and linebacker Kurt Campbell.

McNeal was arrested last week on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop in South Carolina. McNeal, a 27-year-old reserve, was wanted in Florida for selling a Land Rover to a pawn broker for $15,000 when he didn't own it, according to police in Clearwater, Fla.

McNeal signed with Tampa Bay in December 2004 and was cut before the next season began. He was signed to the Raiders' practice squad last season.
