Raiders release two young special-teams players

The Oakland Raiders waived rookie safety Stevie Brown and third-year wide receiver Jonathan Holland on Tuesday, the *Contra Costa Times* reported.

Brown made his NFL debut Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, playing primarily special teams. If he clears waivers, the Raiders plan to re-sign him to the practice squad. His release likely means veteran Hiram Eugene is close to returning from a hamstring injury.

Holland, primarily a special-teams player, was on injured reserve.
