Raiders re-sign KR Miller, put backup DB Bowie on injured reserve

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders brought back kick returner Justin Miller on Wednesday and placed defensive back John Bowie on season-ending injured reserve.

Miller, who also plays defensive back, was among the Raiders' last cuts before the season. Miller joined the team halfway through last season and returned two kicks for touchdowns, averaging 24.8 yards per return. Oakland is averaging 19.3 yards per return this season.

Bowie, who has a knee injury, was selected in the fourth round in 2007 with the draft pick the Raiders acquired from the New England Patriots in exchange for wide receiver Randy Moss. Bowie has played in just five games in his career, recording no tackles.
