Quick Take: Red-zone nightmare for Cards

What we learned ...

The Chargers' QBs look good: Starter Philip Rivers and backup Billy Volek were a combined 11-of-14 passing for 182 yards and one touchdown against the Cardinals. Volek hit Legedu Naanee on a 5-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to break a 7-7 tie.

The Cardinals need to take care of the ball in the red zone: An interception in the end zone cost the Cardinals a Super Bowl title last season. So two interceptions in the red zone -- one thrown by Kurt Warner, the second by Brian St. Pierre -- had to draw a red flag with coach Ken Whisenhunt.

The Cardinals might carry four tailbacks: Tim Hightower, Beanie Wells and Jason Wright certainly will be on Arizona's roster, but seventh-round draft pick LaRod Stephens-Howling had kickoff returns of 89 yards and 63 yards to state his case to make it, too.
