Rams WR Donnie Avery: The talented rookie made his preseason last week and recorded 5 receptions for 65 yards. Avery could see some time against the Chiefs as he auditions for regular-season playing time.

Battle for Rams' No. 3 QB spot: Brock Berlin is battling Bruce Gradkowski for the last quarterback spot on the roster. Berlin completed 8 of 11 passes for 99 yards against the Ravens last week, while Gradkowski was 3 of 5 for 17 yards with an interception.

Chiefs running backs: Veteran Larry Johnson has carried his share of the load, now it's time for rookie Jamaal Charles to show himself. Charles, who has been recovering from an injury, returned to practice this week.
