With LaDainian Tomlinson sidelined in the second half, Sproles overcame a costly fumble at the Colts 2-yard line to record 105 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Sproles totaled 328 all-purpose yards, including 45 yards on five receptions and 178 yards on kickoff and punt returns.

Key stat
The Colts were flagged for nine penalties, including three on San Diego's final drive. A holding call against Tim Jennings on third-and-8 followed by a personal foul on Clint Session helped the Chargers move deep into Colts territory in overtime.

Noteworthy
The Chargers have won four of their last five meetings and three straight playoff games against the Colts, including last year's 28-24 win in the divisional round and a 35-20 wild-card win in 1995. ...
