Quick Take: Bills (1-0) at Jaguars (0-1)

Last meeting
Buffalo quarterback J.P. Losman had three turnovers and the Jaguars outgained the Bills 416 to 286 in total yards in a 36-14 home win for Jacksonville in Week 12 last season.

Streaks
The Bills have beaten the Jaguars four out of the last six times, and lead the overall series, 4-3.

Last week
The Bills took advantage of rusty QB Matt Hasselbeck (17 of 41, 191 yards, one touchdown, one interception) and got two special teams scores in a 34-10 rout of the Seahawks. ... Jaguars QB David Garrard threw two interceptions and the Jaguars were held to 189 total yards in a 17-10 loss to the Titans.

Keep your eye on ...
Jaguars WR Jerry Porter: Porter began practicing last week after missing all of training camp following hamstring surgery. Coach Jack Del Rio held Porter out vs. Tennessee but will likely have a hard time keeping the veteran receiver off the field against Buffalo.

David Garrard: Garrard turned the ball over three times against Tennessee (two interceptions, one fumble). The last time he had that many turnovers was also against the Titans, on Dec. 17, 2006, when he threw three interceptions and lost a fumble. It will be interesting to see how Garrard responds vs. Buffalo, a team in which he has a 104.3 rating against in two meetings. Garrard will also have a makeshift line to work with after starting guards Vince Manuwai and Maurice Williams went down in the opener. Manuwai is lost for the season.

Buffallo's run defense: The Jaguars will look to establish their ground game after struggling against a stingy Titans defense. The Bills held Seattle to just 85 yards on the ground with solid defense from newcomers LB Kawika Mitchell and former Jaguars DT Marcus Stroud as well as second-year LB Paul Posluszny. It will be tested against the ususally potent tandem of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew.

Buffalo's special teams: The Bills recorded two special-teams scores against Seattle -- the first on a 63-yard punt return by Roscoe Parrish, the second on a fake field goal in which holder Brian Moorman threw a 19-yard TD pass to DE Ryan Denney. In addition to Parrish, the Bills have Terrence McGee and rookie CB Leodis McKelvin, giving them three dangerous return threats.

Did you know?
Stroud spent seven seasons with Jaguars (2001-07) and posted 217 tackles with 22 sacks. ... Taylor averages 84.2 rushing yards per game against Buffalo and is aiming for his third consecutive game against the Bills with 100-plus rushing yards. Jacksonville is 14-5 when Taylor has 25-plus attempts.
