Quick take: Addai, Colts too much for Texans

It was over when ...
Immediately following a 74-yard punt return by Houston rookie Jacoby Jones that put the Texans on the Colts' 20 yard line, quarterback Matt Schaub threw an interception -- his second of the day -- to Colts LB Gary Brackett. The Colts followed with a five-play drive ending in a 28-yard Adam Vinatieri field goal that gave the Colts a comfortable 27-10 third quarter lead.

Game balls
Colts running back Joseph Addai continued to impress, rushing for 72 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. On his first score, Addai made a spectacular play, jumping and flipping over a Texans defender into the endzone.

Key stat
The Colts continued to show off their impressive run defense, holding the Texans to 40 yards rushing.

Noteworthy
Texans WR Jerome Mathis returned the game's opening kickoff for an 84-yard touchdown. ... With Schaub's go-to receiver Andre Johnson sidelined, the Texans QB managed to spread the ball to ten different receivers. He finished the game 27-of-33 for 236 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
