Packers DE Neal sidelined by knee injury in comeback bid

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers defensive end Mike Neal is inactive for Thursday night's season opener against the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field.

Neal is returning from last year's season-ending shoulder injury, but he has been hobbled in practice with a lingering knee injury. Jarius Wynn will start in Neal's place.

Offensive lineman Derek Sherrod, the Packers' first-round draft pick, also is inactive.

As expected, wide receiver Lance Moore is inactive for New Orleans. He was ruled out Wednesday because of a groin injury. Defensive tackle Tom Johnson is out because of a calf injury.
