Jaguars cut ties with three, including veteran QB Bouman

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars released veteran quarterback Todd Bouman, linebacker Gerris Wilkinson and rookie wide receiver Greg Ellingson on Monday.

Bouman, 39, signed with the Jaguars earlier this month to fill in for injured quarterbacks David Garrard and Luke McCown. Garrard missed time with a sore back, and McCown had a rib injury. Both are healthy now, so Bouman didn't play in the last two preseason games. He completed 2 of 10 passes for 35 yards and an interception at New England.

Wilkinson signed with the Jaguars as a free agent after spending the last five years with the New York Giants. Ellingson was an undrafted rookie from Florida International.

The Jaguars have 82 players on their roster and need to trim two before Tuesday's deadline.
