Injuries force Cowboys to work third-string guard at practice

It's looking more likely that the Dallas Cowboys will start third-stringer Phil Costa at left guard against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Neither starter Kyle Kosier nor backup Montrae Holland practiced Wednesday, *The Dallas Morning News* reported.

Kosier has a strained right Achilles' tendon, and Holland is nursing a groin injury.

Cornerback Terence Newman practiced despite a muscle strain near his rib cage.

Defensive end Jason Hatcher (groin) also didn't practice.
