Bears sign two, including ex-Chief, to reserve/future contracts

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears have signed wide receiver Onrea Jones and defensive tackle Tank Tyler to reserve/future contracts.

Tyler, a third-round draft pick from North Carolina State by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2007, has 79 tackles in 43 appearances and 19 starts with the Chiefs and Carolina Panthers.

Jones was an undrafted free agent of the Houston Texans in 2007 out of Hampton College. He has spent time with the Texans, San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins and Arizona Cardinals mostly on practice squads. He appeared in two games with the Cardinals this season but did not have a reception.
