Bears' Peppers sits out practice with left knee injury

Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers missed practice Thursday, the result of a left knee injury suffered toward the end of the Bears' Week 9 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Bears did not practice Wednesday following Monday night's game.

Peppers suffered an MCL strain in the same knee during Week 5 against the Detroit Lions but was able to suit up the following Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Wideout/return man Devin Hester (ankle) and defensive tackle Matt Toeaina (knee) also missed Thursday's practice, while safety Major Wright (ankle) was a limited participate.
